International Range Student Session (Tanzania and USA): Celebrating 13th Tanzania Rangeland Day 2023
To commemorate Tanzania Rangeland Day 2023, the Rangeland Society of Tanzania (RST) invites you to join its International Range Student Session, which will be held on April 24th at 7:00 PM East Africa Time (EAT) and 9:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST). The event will bring together range of students from Tanzania, Utah State University (USU), and New Mexico State University (NMSU), who will present on hot topics related to rangeland management in their respective regions, followed by a great discussion.
The session will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes and will feature the following topics:
• Tanzania presentation: *”Impact of bush and weed encroachment on rangeland productivity”*
• New Mexico State University presentation: *”Extensive livestock production in the Chihuahuan Desert: Challenges and adaptations”*
• Utah State University presentation: *”Rangelands in the Great Basin”*
