The Department of Animal, Aquaculture and Range Sciences (DAARS) in collaboration with the URUS Group LP and IDEXX Laboratories, is cordially inviting you to public lectures that are to be held on Friday 14th June 2024 at DAARS Postgraduate Lecture Room, from 10:00 to 12:00 hrs.
The themes of the lectures are:
Lecture 1: Advanced/new technologies for early ruminant pregnancy detection, facilitated by Danuta Radzio an ALERTYSTM Pregnancy Tests Specialist Key Account Manager EMEA based in POLAND – from IDEXX Laboratories.
Lecture 2: Genetics Improvement, the Catalyst to Climate Smart Livestock Production, facilitated by Edson Mfuru a URUS, Country Manager- Tanzania, based in ARUSHA – from URUS Group LP.
After the presentation, we will have the opportunity to perform a Rapid Visual Pregnancy Test, designed to detect the early presence of pregnancy-associated glycoproteins (PAGs) in bovine blood samples at SUA Model Training Farm (Magadu Unit).
