The Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Hon. Abdallah Ulega (MP), declared improvement of livestock feed is among the top priorities in 2023/2024. Improving livestock feed will have a positive impact on the quality of the animals and livestock products towards sustainable and profitable livestock farming.
It is important to note that improving livestock feed requires a holistic approach that considers various factors and different stakeholders. The minister argued to National Ranching Company Limited (NARCO) take a lead toward achieving this goal. With this Government initiative, other stakeholders should work hand in hand with NARCO to permit the Ministry’s efforts to yield positive results, in the overall productivity and profitability of the livestock sector.
