Community Services and Other Engagements
2019/2020: Research and knowledge dissemination on the Use of Integrated Range Management Practices for Improving Growth and Dry Matter Yield of Forage Species in Mvomero district, Morogoro, Tanzania. This research project was part of my undergraduate special project under collaboration and sponsorship by Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT). Important outputs of the project include forage conservation technologies (wooden hay box bailing technology and bag silage making) and community awareness of drought-resistant forage species for climate change adaption in sustainable livestock production is essential for food security and livelihoods in Mela village, Mvomero, Morogoro
2021/2022: Research and knowledge dissemination on Seropositivity of Leptospira in Domestic Animals and Rodents in Zanzibar Island, Tanzania. This research project was part of my Master’s dissertation under collaboration and sponsorship by the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Rodent Pest Management and Biosensor Technology Development (ACE II IRPM & BTD) at the Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro, Tanzania. This research served as a roadmap, guiding other research endeavors for effective zoonotic disease management, thereby contributing to public health welfare in Zanzibar. Additionally, the research findings can prove valuable to other researchers, animal health experts, ecologists, policymakers and the community at large.
