EJSZ6224

On the 18th to 20th December 2019 B.Sc. Agriculture general and Horticulture third-year students paid a visit to Vianzi organic center owned by Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT), Morogoro. We are grateful to SAT for hosting our students and allow them to learn and observe some sustainable /organic agriculture practices. The collaboration between SAT and the Department of Crop Science and Horticulture has become very vital in our Department for a long time through various activities such as allowing students to visit their farms, conduct field practicals, sponsoring research projects and provide employment.
Upon field visit students were actively engaged in activities, discussion and questions in order to increase their knowledge in organic farming. SAT director Ms. Janeth Maro hosted students at Vianzi center and she appreciated their participation throughout the training and she encouraged them to be the ambassadors of sustainable agriculture. Students agreed that the study tour was very useful and recommended that other students should visit the place so as to learn and gain new experience.
