BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Njau has completed his BSc in Agriculture from Sokoine University of Agriculture Morogoro, Tanzania; MSc in Plant Pathology from Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA; MSc in Nematology from Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium and PhD from SUA, Morogoro.

Dr. Njau started his career as Tutorial Assistant in the department of Crop Science and Production at SUA in Morogoro from 1989. Later he travelled to ICRISAT, India, where he obtained hands-on training in legume Pathology. He also obtained more hands-on training in Molecular Virology Techniques at the IITA in Ibadan, Nigeria; Integrated Pest Management at Feldafing, Germany, and Seedborne Virology Techniques at the Danish Seed Heath Center in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He has extensive academic and research experience of over 20 years. He has published research papers in national journals, international journals and conference proceedings. See them at Research gate or Google scholar. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology. 

Dr. P. J. Njau teaches Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Plant Virology, Plant Nematology and Crop Protection and is Senior Lecturer. His research interest include Characterization and Identification of Plant Viruses, Ecology and Epidemiology of Plant Viruses, Biorational and Biological Control of Plant Diseases.
