Sixbert Kajumula Mourice holds a PhD in Soil Water Management and is a Senior  Lecturer, teaching Introductory Plant Physiology and Principles of Agronomy to undergraduate degrees programs and Crop Physiology to postgraduate programs. His research involvement include projects on Agricultural Model Inter-comparison and Improvement (funded by UKAid) and Spurring Agricultural transformation through remote Sensing (STARS) (funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation).

Dr. Mourice’s current research focus is on development of decision support systems for adoption of Precision farming in Tanzania. He has published 8 articles in both local and international peer reviewed journals, three book chapters and several conference papers. Dr. Mourice is a member of the African Crop Science Society.
