Dr. Siwel Yohakim Nyamba is professionally an Agricultural extensionist and a teacher, expertise in agricultural innovations, and communication. As an academician Dr. Nyamba has been involved in research and training; skills acquired over years include survey methods and techniques, facilitation skills, group dynamics operations, M&E skills, use of interactive methods as well as skills in using different socio-economic analysis tools, all these together gave him a vast experience of communicating and working with various stakeholders.
He has a Ph.D., Masters, and Bachelor degree in Agricultural Education and Extension of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He also acquired a Diploma in Agriculture with Education-DAE at Monduli Teachers college in Tanzania. Similarly, he got a three years certificate course in agriculture and livestock production at MATI Mubondo, Tanzania.
He has worked as an extension agent, secondary education teacher, livestock tutor II before joining HIS current job of a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Education and Extension of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), in Tanzania. Along with, Dr. Siwel has been teaching, supervising students as well as carrying outreach activities. He has also been a member of various social research teams in the field of communication and environmental issues. It is his belief that such responsibilities have shaped his competencies to work in diverse areas of economic development.
