A Productive study tour

Photo 2 SUA FM RadioPostgraduate students from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Community Development (DAECD) conducted several study tours to orient themselves on the practical aspect of information and communication technology. The orientation focused on learning about sources of information; processing and transferring information to the audience; applying different information technologies; storing and communicating information. 

The students visited Abood Media and Morogoro Regional Fire and Safety Office on 22nd May 2021. They also visited SUA media on 26th May 202. Additionally, on Thursday, 3rd June 2021, the course instructors (Dr. G.K. Nzalayaimisi and Dr. M.E. Ntumva) together with the postgraduate students visited SUA Mgeta Centre for Farmers and Agriculture (SUA Mgeta CFA) at Nyandira Village (Mgeta Ward). This field trip aimed at visiting and observing the operations of the SUA campus and International market constructed and/or facilitated by the SUA Mgeta CFA. The center also provided a platform to the students to learn about how farmers come and bring their produces to the market; the common produce of the farmers; how farmers get information related to agriculture; the use of organic and inorganic chemicals; and marketing and value chain development.
