The students pursuing Diploma in Animal Health had an opportunity to visit a project at Malali. The students study a course titled DAH O114 (Introductory to Agricultural Extension) offered by Madam Zahara (Mwalim wa somo). The Department of Agricultural Extension and Community Development offers DAH O114 to diploma students. The project is one of the beneficiaries of RECODA. RECODA employs a RIPAT approach to empower groups of farmers to generate reasonable profits from agriculture. The name of the farmers’ group is known as Umoja group. The students had an opportunity to learn about group development, group dynamics, and extension methods.
