On 16Th February 2024 at the ICE conference room, Dr. Emma Johansson, a researcher from Lund University Centre for Sustainability studies in Sweden and colleagues from SUA (Prof. Dismas Mwaseba, Dr. Respikius Martin and Kenneth Mapunda) presented the method of participatory art which offers an innovative and creative way to engage with participants when conducting research. Also, the method creates a tangible product that can be given back to those communities where research was conducted.
Furthermore, the researchers also exhibited original paintings the where the original paintings of the future visions were displayed as shown in (photo 1 ). During this half-day event, both students and researchers at SUA were inspired to use participatory methods and creative research approaches.
