Published on 04th June, 2021Hon Joyce Ndalichako(MP), Minister for Education, Science and Technology had an opportunity to visit the exibition of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Community Development (DAECD) during the Sokoine Memorial week.
Upon visiting the DAECD tent, the Minister had an opportunity to learn about hybrid chicken (Kloiler) from DAECD student Irene Nyakiema(MSc). Ms. Nyakiema managed (see the photo below) to use Farmer Field School Approach to open a chicken class in Morogoro Town. The minister was very impressed and encouraged other young people to follow Irene’s Example and Start their own enterprises.
