Second Call for Applications to pursue Bachelor of Community Development and BSc. Applied Agricultural Extension

The department is happy to welcome all who have been selected to join our Department for the degrees of Bachelor of Community Development and BSc. Applied Agricultural Extension. We encourage prospective students with multiple admissions to confirm their readiness to join our Department by logging into their SUA application account (click here), and confirm. The students are required to confirm from 9th to 17th October, 2020.

Meanwhile, we encourage those who have not been selected to join other degree programs to apply to the degree offered at our department. The second application window has been open since 12th October 2020. The window will remain open until 18th October 2020. The department still has a number of slots for interested applicants. The Department’s degree programs include BSc. Applied Agricultural Extension with an admission capacity of 400 students (with around 50% filled), and a Bachelor of Community Development with an admission capacity of 500 students (with around 40% filled).

The admission requirement for the Bachelor of Community Development includes two principal passes (4 points) in the following subjects: History/ Geography/ Economics/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Agriculture/ Accountancy/ Commerce/ Advanced Mathematics/ physics OR Diploma in Community Development/ Social Work/ Sociology/ Rural Development with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in two science subjects at O-Level including but not limited to Geography, physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Agriculture.

The admission requirement for the BSc. Applied Agricultural Extension includes two principal passes (4 points) in Chemistry and Biology and a subsidiary pass in one of the following subjects: Geography/ Economic/ Nutrition/ Physics/ Agriculture OR Diploma in Agricultural and Livestock fields with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in Biology and two science subjects at O-Level including but not limited to Geography, physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Agriculture.
