On 23 September 2022, members of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Community Development had an opportunity to attend a zoom training on writing manuscripts for journals.
The host of the training was Prof. Bukenya. The training focused on empowering staff of the Department with skills in writing manuscripts for high-impact journals.
James O. Bukenya is a respected Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics and Director of the Office of
Research Compliance at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU). He also serves as
Coordinator of International Programs in the College of Agricultural, Life, and Natural Sciences at AAMU.
The training is offered under Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP). The CADFP Advisory Council has selected Dr. R. Madaha and Prof. J. Bukenya’s (see the photo) proposed project for funding. The Winter 2022 application cycle for the CADFP was very competitive, and the department is proud of the accomplishment.
