Prof. Catherine Phillip Msuya is a holder of Ph.D. obtained in the year 2007 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. She also graduated with MSc. Agricultural Education and Extension and BSc. Home Economics and Human Nutrition from the Sokoine University of Agriculture in the years 1998 and 1995, respectively. She has been serving as a lecturer at Sokoine University of Agriculture from 2000 to date. Since then, she has been involved in teaching various courses including Programme Planning and Management, Research Design and management, Action research & Participatory Methods, Agricultural Innovation system, Training for Development, and Facilitation Methods to both undergraduate and postgraduate students (Ph.D. and MSc. Students). She also supervises Ph.D., MSc, and Undergraduate students in their research work.
For about 20 years, Prof. Catherine has been involved in conducting action research, consultancy, extension and outreach activities on agricultural development, agricultural extension & service delivery, adoption of innovations, agricultural innovation system, and gender issues as shown in her detailed Curriculum Vitae linked at the end of this bio.
