St. Wilbalda students and staff visit the Model Training Farm

Today we were graced to have visitors, students and staff from St. Wilbalda Secondary School- Korogwe here at Sokoine University of Agriculture at the Model training Farm, where they learnt many things from different Units.

First off the visitors started at the aquaculture unit were they learnt everything about aquatic organisms and ecosystems which was very impressive to the students.

After that they visited Magadu animal Unit where they where passed through the dairy unit specifically the milking parlor and the cattle housing and then to the sheep and goats section before winding up in the feed processing section.

Lastly the visitors visited the horticulture unit where they learnt various aspects of horticulture including plant propagation (grafting and budding), orchads, vegetable production and spices. In the end this was a very fruitful visit to the students as the learnt a lot new things.
