PHD SCHOLARSHIP
ONE POSITION
The project on “Agroecology methodology on vegetable crops” a collaboration between RMCA, Eduardo Mondlane University (EMU) of Mozambique and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) of Tanzania invites applications for a four years PhD scholarship (January 2020 – December 2023) under support from the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation. The PhD candidate shall test agroecological methods against fruit flies (Diptera, Tephritidae) attacking cucurbit crops in farmers’ fields in Morogoro, Tanzania. Applicants shall be Tanzanian citizens eligible for admission for PhD at SUA. Females are highly encouraged to apply.
Please send your CV, academic transcripts and letter of motivation demonstrating a link between the advertised position and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The letter should also indicate how anticipated results can be used to solve societal problems.
