On the surface, Lydia F. Mhoro is an assistant lecturer at Sokoine University of Agriculture (Department of Soil and Geological Science). Professionally, she is a soil scientist with over 7 years teaching experience in the field of soil physics, soil fertility and dry land management. Currently, she is a PhD student at KU Leuven, Faculty of Bioscience Engineering (Division of Soil and Water), Belgium. Ms. Lydia has an experience on soil micronutrients and their effect on quality and quantity of cereal crops and legumes. She has also done consultancy work with Sugar Board of Tanzania (SBT), USAID NAFAKA project, and Ilula Orphanage Program. In addition, Ms. Lydia has written and published several papers on peer reviewed journals.

RESEARCH INTEREST:
Her research interest are on tropical soil fertility management, soil nutrient budgets and soil and water conservation.
